Colombia, 2025

In La Guajira, a remote and resource-rich region of northern Colombia, coal mines are closing as solar and wind projects rise in their place. As the country rushes to go green, local communities are left to navigate what this transformation means for them.

Between Two Worlds (working title) is a portrait of three people living through this change: a passionate trade union organiser, a young Indigenous leader, and a charismatic founder of a sustainable, all-female chocolate company in a former coal town. Each person is fighting in their own way for the future of their community.

Set in a region where the global energy transition is happening all at once, this film shows the human impact: the challenges, the pain, the possible solutions, and the hope behind the promise of a ‘just transition’.
